Celebrity News Stories

It feels like there’s always something going on in the world of celebrity. Whether it’s Jack and Dani having ‘trouble in paradise’ on Love Island, or Twitter drama between Kanye West and Drake, people are obsessed with celebrity news stories.

Attention Anglophiles, prince-oglers and Queen fiends: US Weekly has your back when it comes to the royals. It offers an up-to-the-minute news feed of stories, photo spreads and first scoops.

Love Island

Love Island has become more than just a summer show that takes place in a luxurious villa. It grabs the attention of a nation and has become an essential part of many people’s schedules. From announcing the contestants to airing their episodes, there is so much to know about this popular British show.

While the first few weeks of a series are always the most exciting as you see couples form and alliances start to take shape, it’s usually around Episode 7 that you begin to witness some of the drama that will define a couple’s time on the island. And this year has been no different.

Kyra and Cashel ranked at the bottom of the villa’s popularity poll and, in Episode 14, America decided it was time for them to pack their bags. Before they left, the pair shared a tearful goodbye with each other. Kyra even got Cashel a necklace and reiterated her feelings for him.

Samie Elishi and Tom Clare’s families stopped by the villa to say hello to their kids. And it was clear that they approve of their daughter’s new boyfriend, as her mum Wendy and sister Courtney were full of compliments about Tom.

Kanye West

Kanye West is one of the most famous musicians in music history, but he’s also made some controversial statements. He’s been rude to his peers and espoused some anti-Semitic views. He’s also spoken about being bipolar, a condition that can affect mood and thinking.

The rapper’s latest run of controversy began with a YEEZY show that was held at Roosevelt Island during New York Fashion Week. The event was a disaster, with models looking lethargic on the runway and the heat causing them to overheat. Some even fainted. Then, a few days later, Kanye was interviewed on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show and made some conspiratorial remarks. The unaired segments included him saying that Planned Parenthood was a “Ku Klux Klan-inspired, eugenicist-driven conspiracy to control the minds of black people” and stating that George Floyd died of fentanyl, not from police brutality.

Those comments were enough to spark a major backlash. Some brands dropped their ties with the rapper, including Adidas and his own fashion line YEEZY. Despite this, West continues to make headlines for his bizarre statements. He’s recently made remarks about slavery being a choice and seemed to support Donald Trump. He’s also signaled that he’s a fan of controversial Canadian professor Jordan Peterson.

Kaia Gerber

Kaia Gerber, the daughter of model Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, is a force to be reckoned with. She’s modeled in campaigns for YSL Beauty and Omega, and is the first model born in the 2000s to land the Big Four of Vogue covers (American Vogue, British Vogue, Vogue Paris, and Vogue Italia). She’s also starred on the big screen in 2016’s Sister Cities and this year’s upcoming queer high school comedy Mrs. American Pie.

Despite being in the spotlight for much of her life, Gerber still managed to maintain a sense of privacy until recently. The model is currently dating Oscar-nominated actor Austin Butler. The couple has been spotted together numerous times since December 2021, when they sparked romance rumors after being spotted taking a yoga class in LA.

Recently, they cuddled up as they walked the Met Gala’s red carpet separately. They later leaned in for a kiss as they reached the top of the museum’s staircase. In the same month, they both posed for photos in coordinating black outfits at W Magazine’s Best Performances party in L.A.

The pair couldn’t take their hands off each other at the 2023 Time 100 Gala, where they posed for pics on the red carpet. Gerber stunned in a dark gray, body-hugging backless dress from Khaite and Butler looked dapper in a formal black tuxedo.

Dani Dyer

Dani Dyer has had just as much of an eventful career as her father Danny. He’s starred in a plethora of films including City Rats and 7 Lives and he also wrote and directed a Brit noir thriller called Jack Said which was released in 2009.

The actor has since gone on to explore his royal heritage with a two-part series for the BBC and he’s even appeared as Sid Vicious in the stage play Kurt and Sid. Dani also has quite the film portfolio under her belt and she’s starred alongside her dad on a few shows including Sorted With The Dyers.

Most recently Dani has starred in the fourth series of Love Island where she won alongside her former partner Jack Fincham. The pair rekindled their relationship after the show and went on to have baby Santiago. Dani has since dated footballer Jarrod Bowen and she’s currently working on a travel show with her father.

Dani’s new travel show with her dad sees them drop a whopping 50 F-bombs each in the first episode of Absolutely Dyer: Danny and Dani Do Italy. Their potty mouths got so out of control editors had to resort to bleeping them. The pair have also starred together on a couple of other shows and they co-host a podcast. Dani will be back on our screens next month with a new short film titled Stepping Stone which is aimed at raising awareness of mental health issues.
